I’m A Female Champion
All these gold medals at the Olympics in Rio has made me re-evaluate my own sporting achievements. Martial Arts was a strength for me during my teenage years and training several times a week became the norm. At the age of ten, I went to a tournament and came 1st in my age category in Tae Kwon Do Patterns. Being taught to look after myself is one of the most important things I have ever been taught.
I Can Write Shorthand
Taking a gap year before going to University was beneficial to me and I used my time wisely holding down a job, as well as learning Teeline shorthand, five days a week. I’ve never been good at learning languages and shorthand looks like little hieroglyphics, but I soon picked it up. With good practice and patience, I can write up to 100 words per minute. That’s some speedy hand work right there!
An Extra In A Zombie Film
Yep, you heard right. In 2012, I was an extra in a British Zombie Apocalyptic film called The Eschatriology. As part of the acting crew, we ran around with blood splattered clothing through old deserted fields and had the most amazing zombie make up applied to our faces. It was definitely a day to remember and it even landed me my very own IMDB page. Hey Spielberg, I’m over here!
I’m Left Handed
I was one of very few classmates who turned out to be left handed at school. I wear my watch on my right hand, use scissors the wrong way round, smudge handwriting across the page of a book… all in a day’s work being a leftie! A couple hundred years ago, I would have been burned at the stake for being a witch. On the plus side, driving in the UK comes naturally to me as the gear stick is on the left, hurrah!
Horror Film Fanatic
I would prefer to order in a pizza, turn the lights down low and watch scary films over chick flicks any day. When I was 3 years old, a certain someone put on ‘Child’s Play’ and ever since then, I think something inside me broke. My favourite TV series is ‘Tales From The Crypt’ and I love to watch all the new horror movies at the cinema when they come out. I know this isn’t a girly thing to do but at least it’s safe to say I will never ask ‘Who’s there?’ if the power ever goes out! Is there anything people don’t know about you?
