Travelling to Dublin

My best friends and I were whisked away to Dublin the other weekend courtesy of the birthday girl’s boyfriend. How amazing is that? We’ve never travelled on a plane together before, and minus the airport liquids incident and clapping when the plane landed, we had an incredible time. Early morning starts were mandatory and we headed out to variety of different pubs, ate chicken wings and munched on petrol station goodies at 3am. The cobbled streets, bustling alley ways and men shouting ‘I’m going to slap yaw’ arse’ is what makes Ireland a really fantastic place to visit. Have you visited Dublin before?

Cheval Blanc Moseley

Cheval Blanc Wine Bar

As soon as I stepped off the plane from Dublin, I had a few hours to recover before heading out to Cheval Blanc – a brand new Wine Bar in Moseley, Birmingham. My manager invited me to the press launch and we drank a grand total of 10 ‘tasting glasses’ of wine and ate several courses of meat, cheese and dessert dishes over the course of the night. I was thoroughly impressed with the bar, and albeit quite small, I feel the place will do incredibly well. There’s been enough of hangovers at work lately so no more after this week!

Johnny Loves Rosie

Johnny Loves Rosie

Words cannot describe how stunning this watch is. I’m absolutely gutted I couldn’t attend the Johnny Loves Rosie breakfast in Birmingham last week, but instead of making me feel left out, the little cutie potooties kindly gifted me this gorgeous White Strap Rose Gold Midi Dial Watch. It’s been sitting on my wrist all week and it goes with everything I wear. My obsession for rose gold jewellery is now coming back into play. Make sure to check out their website johnny-loves-rosie.com, they have some gorgeous new pieces in stock!

Itihaas Birmingham Indian Cuisine

Food Blogger Event at Itihaad

I attended a blogger meal at Itihaas, Birmingham last Tuesday with East Village PR. The place was heaving with bloggers and various canapes, main dishes, desserts and cocktails were thrust upon us to try at our leisure (and to critique). My favourite course of the evening was the Roasted Salmon in Banana Leaf – I would go back to the restaurant just to eat it all again. My full review is coming soon, but I had to give these guys a mention in my happiness blog post, their food made me smile with joy and the presentation, drinks and company was spot on.

Cotswolds Travel Blog

The Cotswolds and travel plans

I was asked if I would like to review a few B&B Inns in the Cotswolds last weekend as part of my travel adventures and boy, did we have fun. We spent the night in Duns Tew, a beautiful little place in the countryside near Bicester and were treated to a three course meal courtesy of The White Horse and stayed up to watch the Olympics. We spent the afternoon hand in hand walking through the Cotswolds and a full review will be going live very soon. On the night we came home, we decided to push the travel boat out and potentially book a few trips next year to Rome, New York and why not, Cancun! All these places have been on my list for quite some time now, so there’s no better time than now. I’m not sure if this will be possible just buying a house and all but a girl can dream, right? What’s made you happy lately?
