Win A Meal For Two – The Fighting Cocks Moseley

The great thing about Birmingham is that there are so many pubs to explore, both old and new. The Fighting Cocks, for example, is one of the well known pubs outside of the city centre and is a quaint little place in the heart of Moseley. I’m really happy to be collaborating with them to give one reader the chance to win a two course meal for 2. Simply enter below in the Rafflecopter entry bar and leave a comment telling me who you would take. But first, find what I thought of my latest foodie experience. I was kindly invited in to have a look at the new menu…

A Food Experience At Hotel La Tour, Birmingham

The other week I was invited to try the food and cocktail menu at Hotel La Tour. Currently known as a Marco Pierre White establishment, it should be noted that it’s soon to be taken over by Clayton Birmingham. I was interested to see how the food would compare to other places in Birmingham, especially the other Marco Pierre White restaurant located in the Cube. It’s obvious to say I’m definitely not a fan of his others! More so, I was looking for another steak and wine night after my previous trip to Argentinian Steak Restaurant Gaucho which went down an absolute treat. On the day of the review, I started…

Argentinian Steak Restaurant – Gaucho Birmingham

I was absolutely gutted to have missed the blogger masterclass at Gaucho first time round. So much so, the restaurant caught wind and invited me to dine with them on a separate occasion recently after work. Let me tell you now, if someone asked me to name the top blogger dining experiences I’ve ever had, this definitely ranks in the top 3. Everything from the booking, to the table service, the food and the experience was borderline faultless. I can safely say this is definitely one of the best restaurant openings Brum has seen for a long time. And I’m obviously a huge wine and steak lover, so let’s get…

Harvey Nichols Summer Dining Menu – Birmingham

I’ve received some fantastic food invitations in my blogger inbox as of late and this one especially was one I couldn’t refuse. I’m so grateful that Harvey Nichols, Birmingham got in touch to invite me to enjoy a complimentary experience of their new Summer Dining menu. It’s a promotional offer running until Thursday 31stAugust and they’re looking for foodies of Brum to come and try it. The best part? For just £22, you receive a starter, main meal and dessert off a set menu. This of course includes one of two cocktail choices. The chef has specifically designed a refreshing menu to run during July and a different menu to…

Pieminister Birmingham – Summer Menu Blogger Review

I’d heard the name Pieminister floating around Birmingham quite a few times over the last couple of months, but it was only when I was given two meal vouchers to come and try the food that I actually researched where it is and what the place is about. Pieminister is a chain restaurant fairly new to Brum and is situated on Waterloo Street next to Adam’s. In all honesty, I was very sceptical of the place at first because 1) It’s a chain restaurant and we’re trying to encourage independent restaurants into the centre. 2) They serve pie, just little bit standard right? and 3) I hadn’t read any reviews…
