The Head of Steam – Birmingham

With great beer comes great responsibility. Or so I heard. A quirky pub chain by the name of ‘The Head of Steam‘ owned by Camerons Brewery has landed slap bang in the middle of the city centre on Temple Street. Snuggled nicely alongside a variety of new restaurants and cocktail bars, the place has a prime focus on craft beer and quality pub grub. Not forgetting the bar also boasts 20 keg and 10 cask ale lines; serving a rotating line up of ales, beers and ciders from across Birmingham. What more could you ask for really? A Brief Burger Encounter in London

Coqfighter Boxpark, London I recently went to London. Not only was the weekend full of excitement from the Bladerunner Secret Cinema event (it was bloody amazing) but we also ran around eating a few burgers from several different places. We were meant to do 3 pitstops for food but only managed a couple before we jumped on the train home. At first it was to experience MPW’s Afternoon Tea selection, then recently I won a competition to dine at the London Bridge restaurant. Every time I’ve visited, the quality and standard of the food has been impressive – even after receiving bad reviews on Tripadvisor. I recently visited The Steak House at the top of The Cube in Birmingham to review their new set menu but sadly, I too left feeling very disappointed with the food. There is no doubt that the staff are wonderful and extremely attentive. There is…

    An Invitation To Revolution Birmingham

Even now as Birmingham Food Blogger, I still love it when I’m invited to try new and upcoming menus for restaurants. Seriously, how has this become a normal thing to do on an evening? Do you think it’s now acceptable to add ‘burger eater’ to my CV? You may have seen from my previous Revolution post that I was sceptical before reviewing first time around. I was pleasantly surprised by the high standard of both food and service from the Birmingham branch, located on Broad Street right in the heart of the city’s bustling nightlife. This time around, I was invited to try the 2-4-1 Burgers option (Every Tuesday, all day)…
