Exotic Dim Sum Afternoon Tea – Wing Wah, Birmingham

For over 21 years, the Wing Wah restaurant was located at the iconic Wing Yip Centre in Nechells. 2019 has brought a new lease of life and this year Wing Wah relocated to a brand new, stylish premises in the heart of Chinatown, Birmingham. Menus continue to showcase beautifully-crafted dim sum and a la carte dishes suited for every taste and preference. I’m always being asked where is the best place to go for afternoon tea in Birmingham. Thankfully after trying the new Dim Sum afternoon tea experience at Wing Wah, I can now add a firm favourite to the list. It’s a little bit different to the others as…

Boston Tea Party: Stratford-Upon-Avon New Menu

Named as the most ethical Family-owned independent cafe chain in Britain, Boston Tea Party has 22 establishments across the South of England, Bristol, and the Midlands with a purpose to ‘Make Things Better‘. Did you know? Renowned as being one of the first cafes to completely ban disposable coffee cups, owing to this BTP has lost over 25 per cent of its entire takeaway drink sales. Restaurant Folium, Jewellery Quarter – Birmingham

I haven’t heard a bad thing about this restaurant and since visiting, I can understand why. Folium is a beautiful, minimal and modern venue in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter. There are plenty of places I could have chosen when looking for a gorgeous restaurant to take my boyfriend to on his 30th birthday. With so many new openings in Birmingham City Centre, it can sometimes feel a little overwhelming when looking for something simplistic with tasteful menus. Truth is, when arriving at midday on April 18th, I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. Restaurant Folium is one of the newest multi-course dining experiences with great wine, fantastic…

Jojolapa Nepalese Bar & Kitchen: Birmingham Review

Famished Brummies looking for a sleek, cosy-chic space ideal for dinner dates and cocktail parties need look no further than Jojolapa on Frederick St, Jewellery Quarter. Since its recent shift to the Jewellery Quarter from Newhall Street, it’s a place I’ve walked past dozens of times. Ashamedly I’ve never actually visited Jojolapa, not even in its former destination. I wasn’t interested before, purely for the fact I never actually knew much about them, or what type of cuisine they serve. After a recent meal at Jojolapa, I will hold my hands up and say, my bad. It was sheer laziness on my part for not venturing here sooner. The outside…
