Winter Afternoon Tea At The Edgbaston Boutique Hotel, Birmingham

You wouldn’t believe the amount of messages I receive on a weekly basis asking ‘where’s good for afternoon tea in Birmingham?’. Funny thing is, I always point people to either one of two places. The first being the amazing Edgbaston Boutique Hotel which is famous for its glamorous cocktails, inventive creations and delightful afternoon tea, oozing Great Gatsby style decor with attentive staff. I had my birthday drinks there a few years ago and it was hands down one of the best birthdays ever. So when I heard the Edgbaston had brought out a Winter afternoon tea, I was told that tables were booked up weeks in advance. Lucky for me, the amazing Group General…

Birthday Meal At Adam’s Restaurant – Birmingham

For my birthday, my boyfriend surprised me with a lunch date at Michelin Star restaurant Adam’s on Waterloo Street in Birmingham City Centre. According to Tripadvisor, the stunning restaurant has been rated #1 out of 1824 restaurants in Birmingham and is ninth best in the world. Speaks volumes doesn’t it? Adam’s first opened in 2013 on Bennetts Hill and was awarded a Michelin star within six months of opening. The restaurant then moved to the new building, New Oxford House on Waterloo Street. We were seated in the bar area and handed a wine menu. I gave Josh the look of ‘Omg can I? It’s going to be so expensive but can I?‘. Crisps with…

Exclusive Fine Dining At Elegant Eat – Edgbaston

Feast your eyes upon Elegant Eat’s outstanding new fine dining menu. The pop up restaurant returned for its second appearance in the prestigious Warwickshire Suite overlooking Edgbaston Cricket Ground this month and I was lucky enough to be invited along with my boyfriend for a blogger review. The overall experience from start to finish was quite possibly one of the best blogger meals I’ve had in my four years of food sampling. We were completely blown away by the high standard of service, from the moment we walked through the door, to the waitress handing me a box of macaroons to take home after dessert. Come along with me on this foodie adventure,…

Itihaas Indian Restaurant Review – Birmingham

I feel useless calling myself a ‘food blogger’ sometimes. Especially when there are so many restaurants in the Midlands that I’m still yet (and dying) to try. I frequently forget there are also dinner places on the outskirts of the town square; those tucked away down side roads or hide away from main hustle and bustle of the town centre. But the question is, are these the ones worth visiting? I was invited to Itihaas by East Village PR for a night of cocktails, canapes and food and it was the first time I’d stepped foot in there. Truth be told, if you were not intentionally looking to find Itihaas,…

Park Regis: How A Spa Day Can Banish The Blues

Imagine this. Your bestie arrives at your house for the weekend. What do you decide to do? Sit around, drink wine, eat food and go for afternoon tea and a spa day… obviously! I knew that I had to make the weekend special, so I searched for the best spas in Birmingham. The Shakina Spa in the Park Regis Hotel (You may have seen that I was invited for an overnight stay before) hasn’t been open for long, so I thought I’d treat Laura and myself to a day of facials, gel nails and afternoon tea. And boy, were we surprised! Shakina Spa is spotlessly clean and showcases mirrored shelves full of…
