Harvey Nichols Summer Dining Menu – Birmingham

I’ve received some fantastic food invitations in my blogger inbox as of late and this one especially was one I couldn’t refuse. I’m so grateful that Harvey Nichols, Birmingham got in touch to invite me to enjoy a complimentary experience of their new Summer Dining menu. It’s a promotional offer running until Thursday 31stAugust and they’re looking for foodies of Brum to come and try it. The best part? For just £22, you receive a starter, main meal and dessert off a set menu. This of course includes one of two cocktail choices. The chef has specifically designed a refreshing menu to run during July and a different menu to…

Saint Paul’s House Boutique Hotel Review

Saint Paul’s House and restaurant is one of Birmingham’s newest boutique hotels which opened in March this year. It sits proudly in St Paul’s Square, Jewellery Quarter Birmingham, dazzled by exterior lighting and oozes charm and sophistication. Over the next couple of weeks I have so many exciting hotel opportunities coming up, so I already feel incredibly lucky to have slept inside one of the stunning 34 rooms at St Paul’s this Bank Holiday weekend. Most of my night away consisted of being tucked inside a luxurious white dressing gown and bathing in a perfect monochrome shower – my absolute dream come true. A large section of the building is still covered in scaffolding which…

Exploring the new Park Regis Hotel, Birmingham

It’s been an exciting couple of weeks for hotel openings in Birmingham. Park Regis being one of them is a brand new 4* upscale hotel with a boutique feel and had barely been open for a week when I was invited last weekend for a complimentary stay with dinner, breakfast and an afternoon tea experience. Although I live just 10 minutes away from Birmingham city centre, there’s something about checking into hotel for the first time, room service, free toiletries, big comfy beds and walk in showers that just excites me. It’s one of the many reasons why I love writing about hotels on my blog, and I have now created…

Win a Luxury Afternoon Tea for Two at Park Regis Hotel

Being a food writer means I’m also a huge fan of afternoon tea, especially when it’s done properly. Last weekend I was invited to stay at the brand new delux Park Regis hotel in Birmingham. It’s located at the top Broad Street and boasts two new restaurants and a cocktail bar towering high above the city skyline. As far as hotel decor goes, the inside interior is stunning. My review of our stay, what we ate and how well Park Regis treated us will be posted shortly, but first… I have a wonderful competition to share with you. We were offered to try the Classic Afternoon Tea (£24) and it’s just a…

Chung Ying Central: Bar And Restaurant Review

What I ate at Chung Ying Central: • Shangai Dumplings (pork) • Salt & Chilli Chicken Wings • Deep Fried Duck in Plum Sauce • Crispy Shredded Beef in Chilli Sauce • Spare Ribs Peking Style They say ‘you are what you eat’. If that’s the case, I’m 80 percent Chinese. The funny thing about me is,    I spend a lot of time thinking about what I’ll be eating for my next meal (the most part of me wishing it’s Chinese food). So when I was asked if I would like to come and try a new Oriental restaurant, Chung Ying Central, my main concern was thinking whether it was appropriate to order the entire…
