Instagram-worthy Elio Cafe at Mailbox offers the perfect mix of dreamy pastel-clad decor, locally-sourced coffee and delicious bites to eat. It’s a most-welcome addition to Mailbox, Birmingham.
The perfect spot to sit with your laptop, meet friends for brunch or to catch up over a coffee – Elio Cafe is a brand new picturesque cafe located on Level 3 of Mailbox. A step away from your typical hot and stuffy coffee shop experience, they go the extra mile to serve a variation of fresh, delectable sweet treats, light bites and savoury dishes. Ranging from pastries, toasted sandwiches to decadent desserts, alongside a selection of embellished drinks, it’s easy to see why people are itching to visit Mailbox’s latest hotspot.
Birmingham prettiest new coffee shop
Open 7 days a week from 10am, the interior is beautiful, light and airy. Gorgeous pops of metallic and abstract art pieces fill the walls, something to gaze over whilst taking your first few sips of coffee. Dainty lights hang low over tables and the glowing branded sign outside the door lures you in. There really is something about Elio Cafe that makes you want to just stop and take a look. Since recently working for Mailbox in a professional capacity, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting this place numerous times since opening.
All things soft and sweet…
As Elio Cafe grows in popularity with Mailbox residents, neighbours and visitors alike, you might even witness some famous faces popping inside on the odd occasion. There’s a healthy number of tables dotted around and pickings are easy if you show up first thing. For such a limited space, it’s magical how you feel like you’re in your own little bubble here. Seats of various texture and colour are available at the front of the cafe and also near the food counter. Just around the L-shaped corner you’ll find another long section if you fancy hiding away from public view. Food wise, Elio Cafe serve up a range of gorgeous cakes, brownies (tried and tested!) pastries, flatbreads and various soup options. A range of hot and cold drinks, including iced and vegan options are also available.
Find them on Level 3 – Maibox
There’s no doubt Elio Cafe will continue to thrive at Mailbox as every time I’ve been inside, people have their phones at the ready, snapping photos and ordering the very best of the menu. The staff are great too and they’re never too busy to make conversation. They will happily talk through what is new on the menu and are glad to answer any burning questions you might have surrounding food allergies. It’s a warm and inviting place and I’m happy to continue spending my money with them during my working days and on weekends. It’s definitely one of Birmingham’s most beautiful cafes that is happy to welcome you at any time throughout the day.
