I’m going to tell you straight up… Lights by TENA is one of the best brands I’ve ever worked with. They understand women and they understand girls my age. They understand that women have ‘needs’ to feel fresh and confident. They understand we’re not perfect and we have our wobble moments (we’ve all asked our girlfriends to walk behind at one point or another to see if mother natures has crept up on us… am I right?). But most importantly, Lights by TENA understands a woman’s body.
As women, we strive to feel the comfort of staying dry, fresh and protected. Did you know that at least 1 in 3 of us can be affected by bladder weakness? Because believe it or not, a woman is bound to experience this at some point in her life, whether it be from having kids or just from getting older. From this, a new campaign has been launched by TENA, aimed at women aged between 30 and 40 to tackle the ‘taboo’ of unexpected leaks. Truth is, every woman wants to feel her best and to feel confident and that is why Lights by TENA believe you’ll love their new products. As well as discussing the line up of new products (ultra-thin liners and the ultra-towels, all of which are available in all major supermarkets), a group of us lifestyle and beauty bloggers were recently invited to attend a perfume masterclass at the beautiful Haymarket Hotel, London. A lovely touch was walking into a cosy-lit room, with the table lined with dozens of brightly coloured bouquets. This was such a lovely thought and we got to take them home afterwards. The perfume class also taught us how to make our own beautiful signature scents, because what woman doesn’t like to smell gorgeous, really?
The two hour masterclass with Experimental Perfume Club taught us the process of creating our own fragrances and how to familiarise ourselves with the smells which we are most drawn to. Naturally, my nostrils were chasing after the honey and almond scents as it reminds me of the lazy beach days and my all-time favourite trip to the Bahamas. As a group, we compared preferences and perfume tastes, drank champagne, and ate lots of pastries. Did I mention how hard it is to be a blogger sometimes?
After mixing and matching my favourite scents and working out the mathematics of how much to add to the bottle, the hardest part of creating your own perfume is dropping in the right amount of essence into your bottle – something I found really hard after 3 glasses of champagne. I decided to name my bottle ‘honey pot’ and I tried my hardest not to drink it on the way home, it smells amazingggggg. Once again, I would love to thank the girls at Lights by Tena for inviting me down for an all expenses paid trip to London, it was certainly an event to remember. Thanks also for reminding us that however hard it is to be a woman sometimes, it’s also certainly one of the best things in the world… GIRL POWER! x
