Evening Meal at Marco Pierre White’s Bardolino – Birmingham

Emma Victoria Stokes Bardolino BirminghamWhen it comes to Marco Pierre White restaurant establishments, I tend not to have the best meals. So when I was invited to try Bardolino in Birmingham the other month, I was eager to give MPW another try and to see what this new place has to offer. I’ve already seen a large amount of bloggers visit Bardolino for blogger events and food reviews, so when I turned up on a Friday night I was really surprised to find how quiet it was.

I must admit that we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we were given free pickings of anything we wanted off the Bardolino menu to try. I really like the fact that the MPW chains always have a large quantity of wines to choose from which makes the evening a little bit easier. For starters we chose to sample the Italian Job (£11.00) which consists of Italian cured meats, sun blushed tomatoes, mozzarella, crushed avocado and grissini. As well as the Monte Cristo (£10.00) – Focaccia, crushed avocado, caponata, tomato bruschetta, mozzarella, Zarpellon (for two) with olives.

For mains, I tried the Gnocchi Con Quattro Formaggio (£9.50) and it was the gooiest, sickliest meal I’ve ever eaten – it was delicious! I love eating melted cheese so this was an amazing choice. Josh choose the Prosciutto Di Parma (£9.00) with Parma ham, beef tomatoes, rocket, pecorino which was cooked to perfection.

I really rated this meal and the staff are really easy to talk to and they’ll give you their recommendations. I’m just sorry that the place wasn’t more busy as we were one of the only tables in there. But I can imagine that the longer they’re here, the more people will get to know about them. Thank you for the invitation, our meals were great and I’ve been craving gnocchi ever since!

Please note, I was invited to Bardolino with a +1 to try out their new menu. Our meals were complimentary in return for an honest review. I would recommend trying their gnocchi. Thank you for having us!
