Indian Restaurant Opening: 1580 Blogger Event

I can’t even begin to tell you how refreshing it is to be invited to a restaurant opening that’s not in Birmingham City Centre. With so many new openings as of late, it’s hard to keep up with so many new places. So when an opportunity came along to review 1580, an Indian restaurant on Chester Road outside of the town centre, I was really intrigued as  I currently love trying out new Indian restaurants. 1580 had put some thought behind their initial blogger welcome and sent out an email explaining why the restaurant is named what it is and a bit of background information. Kudos for doing that, I like…

Galentine’s Day Cupcakes with Cake Angels

We never usually celebrate Valentine’s Day in a big way in our house. Don’t get me wrong, we don’t see ourselves as those ‘you should celebrate your love everyday meh meh’ type of people, it’s just that most of the time we’re celebrating things anyway. Ahem, but roses and chocolates never go amiss on a cold, dark night! So what better way than to get stuck in to showing yourself and your girls some lovin’ by partaking in GALentine’s. As the name clearly suggests, it’s a day dedicated to women, encouraging them to celebrate female friendships. And because being a laaaaady is actually awesome sometimes. Galentine’s Day falls on February 13th, the day…

Rooftop Radio Bar – ME London Hotel

Buttermilk chicken waffles with maple syrup is my new favourite dish. I mean, just look at this picture… see how pretty it is? Trust me when I say, it tasted even better than it looks. I won a fabulous competition on Instagram a few months ago which allowed me to take myself and one guest to Rooftop Radio Bar, situated on the 10th floor of ME London Hotel. With amazing views across the London skyline and the Thames, the experience was a perfect champagne brunch filled with various photogenic dishes. It was a bitter cold weekend but Josh and I decided to sit on the terrace with various other groups of…

Birthday Meal At Adam’s Restaurant – Birmingham

For my birthday, my boyfriend surprised me with a lunch date at Michelin Star restaurant Adam’s on Waterloo Street in Birmingham City Centre. According to Tripadvisor, the stunning restaurant has been rated #1 out of 1824 restaurants in Birmingham and is ninth best in the world. Speaks volumes doesn’t it? Adam’s first opened in 2013 on Bennetts Hill and was awarded a Michelin star within six months of opening. The restaurant then moved to the new building, New Oxford House on Waterloo Street. We were seated in the bar area and handed a wine menu. I gave Josh the look of ‘Omg can I? It’s going to be so expensive but can I?‘. Crisps with…

Pasta Di Piazza – A Taste of Italy In Birmingham

Have you ever been so hungry that all you want to do is throw food at your face and eat it all until you explode? Me too… on a daily basis! The other week I had a wonderful apartment stay at The Rotunda for review purposes and on the same night, I also had an invitation to try the menu at Pasta Di Piazza and I was eager to dig in. Let me tell you now, I’ve been several times to this wonderful restaurant and every time, the meal, atmosphere and overall experience has been wonderful. It’s always been hard to critique this place as the portions are huge and the flavours…
