The Wheel Inn Pub & Thornside Holiday Cottage: Welton Le Marsh

I am so incredibly lucky to be able to say that my family has run several pubs in the past. The latest addition being The Wheel at Welton in Welton Le Marsh, Skegness. In 2015, my parents moved away to start their new life in the countryside and I couldn’t be happier for them. Their little pub The Wheel Inn and Thornside Holiday Cottage resides in a quiet little village with accepting locals and beautiful country walks. Come and take some time to explore the sights and to admire their new house which is a 5 second walk away from the pub. The inside of the pub has mismatched chairs, a…

A Trip To Reykjavik – Iceland

Perlan Museum I recently surprised my boyfriend with a trip to Iceland. He had absolutely no idea until I told him one night after he arrived back from football. Truth be told, it was one of the best decisions I made in 2017, the whole trip was incredible. We headed to Reykjavik from London Luton in early September which I think was the ideal time to go. It wasn’t too cold and some days, we got to swan around in light jackets but we took thick coats just in case any snow did happen. Reykjavik seems to have become a tourist hot spot in the last couple of years so…

Winter Breaks And Slow Holidays With Inntravel

As the nights grow colder and darker, and we slowly edge our way towards the Christmas period, I know I’m not the only one wishing they could book a last minute getaway before the chaos starts. Owing to my love of travelling and pimping out my Instagram feed in holiday pictures, my love of exploring has given me the perfect opportunity to work in collaboration with Inntravel, a slow winter holidays company who have been turning slow travel dreams into a reality for travellers since the 1980s. They wanted to find out what’s my ‘slow holidays’ bucket list – so without further ado, here we go. Are any of these on…

A Boat Adventure Over To The Island Of Capri, Italy

Not gonna lie folks, the boat trip from Sorrento to Capri was one of the scariest things I’ve done while on holiday. Although the final destination is one of the most jaw-dropping sights a girl ever did see, the journey itself was a hair-raising experience. While in Sorrento, our hostess at our B&B told us that we could get a boat over to Capri (one of the best and most beautiful sights in Italy) and it would cost around £90 per person. This meant catching a small boat, enough to fit around 10-12 people and took around 45 minutes to get there. The day before we visited Capri from Sorrento,…

Picture Perfect Positano -A Trip To The Amalfi Coast

If you read my last blog post on ‘Exploring Sorrento‘ – you’ll know that not only did I visit Rome a few months back, but my boyfriend and I took a little detour out to the Amalfi Coast and most importantly – Positano. Little day trips out meant that we could see some incredible sights, but return back to our little B&B in Sorrento and not have to spend tonnes of money in a new hotel every night. I must admit, I’ve been stalking the coast’s most photogenic area Positano on Pinterest for as long as I can remember, and it’s been on my bucket list for way too long. So…
