A Trip To Italy – Exploring Sorrento

Continuing with the run of Italy themed posts, I wanted to share just a few snaps of when Josh and I headed over to Sorrento after visiting Rome. If you haven’t already seen them, my last few posts talked about How To Visit The Vatican Without Crowds and what we got up to when in Rome. So here goes… we arrived in Sorrento by train and ferry which took about two hours and I’m so glad we did now, because I honestly think it’s one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. The water is a gorgeous shade of blue, the scenery is something out of a film,…

    Visiting Auschwitz And Exploring Krakow

I have something exciting to share with you. I also have something harrowing to show you. Visiting Krakow, Poland stretched my emotions as far as it possibly could. One day we were walking along the cobbled streets feeling like the happiest people in the world eating kebabs and dining out in the Old Square. Other days, we were walking in silence through concentration camps – Auschwitz and Bireknau, not even beginning to comprehend the horrors of how many people were killed there between 1940 – 1945. A Lifestyle Blog: Five Happy Things

Travelling to Dublin My best friends and I were whisked away to Dublin the other weekend courtesy of the birthday girl’s boyfriend. How amazing is that? We’ve never travelled on a plane together before, and minus the airport liquids incident and clapping when the plane landed, we had an incredible time. Early morning starts were mandatory and we headed out to variety of different pubs, ate chicken wings and munched on petrol station goodies at 3am. The cobbled streets, bustling alley ways and men shouting ‘I’m going to slap yaw’ arse’ is what makes Ireland a really fantastic place to visit. Have you visited Dublin before? Cheval Blanc Wine Bar As soon as…

Places To Add To Your Travel Bucketlist

    – sponsored content –  Shark diving is my ultimate #1 activity on my bucket list. I’m deadly serious. It’s something I’ve dreamt about doing ever since I was old enough to swim. I imagine no other experience on Earth could make you feel as vulnerable to your surroundings yet so at peace with nature. An exhilarating swim with some of our sharp toothed friends could be enough to make anyone cry, but for me it’s something on my to-do list that I’m itching to tick off. The strange thing is, I have an irrational fear of sharks at the bottom of the swimming pool. Don’t tell me I’m the only one! I’ve put some serious…

Pisa & Florence City Break, Italy

Pisa is such a beautiful city that you can conquer in a day. Lucky for me though, I stayed there for three days at the start of this month, riding bikes to the Leaning Tower, drinking more wine and melting away in the heat. You may have already seen my ‘Blogger Trip to Tuscany’ where I was kindly invited out to Italy to review a hotel. It was one of the best trips of my life. Driving to Pisa on the way back meant staying in a beautiful apartment that we had found on airbnb.  The place was crisp white, cosy and packed full of books and vinyl. The house definitely has a 70’s…
