The Leesa Mattress: Hotel Luxury At Home

Emma Victoria Stokes Leesa Mattress Hotel LuxuryI’ve been so excited to share this blog post with you for so many reasons. Simply because it involves sleep and if you know me, you’ll understand that this is one of my favourite things to do. A good night’s rest is one of the most important factors to feeling energised, happy and refreshed and I know this because I’m all about getting 8 hours of sleep a night. I’m not ashamed to admit that during the week I’m usually so tired that I like to snuggle up under my duvet by 10pm, even if my boyfriend thinks I’m an OAP… So when we decided to buy a house late last year, my first mission was to upgrade our mattress as our old one was losing it’s comfort. Luckily, I stumbled across a Leesa mattress that makes me feel like I’m sleeping on a cloud.

Hotel comfort in your own bedroom

As many of you will be aware, I don’t just review restaurants but hotels, also. The hotel bed is the first thing you see when entering the room and it only takes a couple of seconds for you to either love it or hate it. I actually think that I spend more time in hotels than I do my own bed and for this reason, I wanted to share with you some truths on why I’ve been adoring my Leesa mattress since we received it early this year. This specific double mattress is an innovative design of 3 foam layers that adjust to my body shape, and offers optimum support and comfort for when I’m resting at night. Ultimately, this means come 7am when it’s time to get up, I’m so relaxed that I’m usually screaming to myself inside my head, ‘JUST 5 MORE MINUTES, PLEASE!’.

‘100 night trial just for you’

When doing some research on Leesa (and if you live in the UK you might have seen their adverts on TV), they say that because they are exclusively an online company, they think it’s nearly impossible to find the right mattress in a store by just lying on it for a few minutes. So instead, they offer customers a ‘100 night risk free trial period’. This means that if it isn’t working out for you in the first 100 nights, all you have to do is get in touch and they will personally arrange for the mattress to be collected. The most brilliant thing of all is that if you aren’t happy with yours, instead of throwing it in the skip they’ll donate it through a charitable organisation whilst offering you a full refund. I mean, you can’t get any better than that really can you? Also when receiving ours, it came in a little box half the size of me and I thought ‘how the hell is there a double mattress in there?’. The unrolling of the mattress is the most visually pleasing thing you’ll see all year.

Since I’m a big lover of snoozing, I thought I’d let you in on some of my bedtime secrets to allow myself to have the best night’s sleep. By this, I mean not waking up for a solid 12 hours! I first run myself a nightly bubble bath as soon as I get home from work. Although the majority of people would prefer to take showers, I find a calming bubble bath with essential oils so relaxing and it allows me to switch off for a little while and sip on a glass of wine. After this, I jump into my hotel slippers and cosy up in my White Company dressing gown.

During this time, I love lighting a candle, smothering my face in more oils and creams and settling down for the night. Not forgetting to spray some of ThisWorks sleep pillow spray onto my pillows to relax me. Sounds like a perfect night, right?

It’s been more than 100 days now and each night feels still feels like the first. It’s bouncy, light and absorbs every position I decide to sleep in. I won’t lie to you, this mattress is a total god send. Strictly speaking, it puts every other hotel bed I ever sleep in to shame, and that’s saying a lot! What I love more than anything is the fact that for every 10 ten mattresses that Leesa sell, they donate another one to charitable organisations. This is pretty spectacular if you ask me and more companies should jump on board when it comes to their charitable ways and carbon footprint. It also takes just 4-7 business days to manufacture and deliver so you can have your very own Leesa in the same week you order one. For just £590, you too can have the best sleep of your life. And if you don’t like it – you can just send it back… for free! If you’re thinking about buying your own Leesa mattress, use this code for £50 off! Ahem, you are most welcome.

Please note: I was sent a Leesa matress to try for an open and honest review of their service and product.
