Some Of The Most Beautiful Drives In The UK

In collaboration with Lease Car UK There’s no denying that Birmingham, West Midlands is a fantastic city to live in. As new restaurants and shops continue to pop up each month, there’s so much to see, explore and do. But every now and again, I like to escape from the city; from my normal routine and head out on a country drive somewhere in the UK. Over the last couple of years, I’ve made it my mission to visit at least two new places every 12 months. My most recent trip was a surprise weekend trip to Salisbury where we saw Stonehenge, the cathedral and stayed in a gorgeous shepherd’s…

Welcome to 2019: Freelance Work Update, A Trip To London and New Partnership

With what feels like 10,000+ unpublished photographs currently sitting on my phone, I thought now would be the perfect time to write a little ‘life lately’ style post and to tell you a bit more about an exciting working partnership I’m now involved in. In case you missed it (or if you’re hungry!) my first post of 2019 consisted of a Foodie Escape – Some Of The Best Places To Eat In Birmingham. Asana Asana is a free web and mobile app designed to help teams track their work.…

Game changing Autumn Menu at The British Oak

There’s no doubt that Autumn is my favourite time of the year. Not only do I have an excuse to wrap up snug and warm in winter coats and scarves, but being a food blogger also means that I get to sample some fantastic Autumn inspired dishes around Birmingham. One of the first being the new Game menu at a newly renovated local pub, The British Oak in Stirchley. Throughout the night, Executive chef Paul Maders and his team perfectly executed five tasting dishes; all accompanied by either a wine or beer flight. First course: Pigeon I’ve only ever tried pigeon once before. It wasn’t that memorable and came out somewhat hard in texture.…

Netherstowe House Hotel – Hidden Gem in Lichfield

Sleeping in luxury hotels is becoming quite the hobby for me. I wish I could get paid for doing it because I’d be minted by now. I’m very lucky to be the type of blogger I am, as I get given so many incredible hotel opportunities. As you may have already seen in my hotels category, I’m building up a portfolio of some of the most stunning hotels across the West Midlands, with plenty more in the pipeline. There are not enough words to describe how in love I was with Netherstowe House, a former water mill and a stunning Georgian-style hotel. And I don’t even need to state how chic…
