Lifestyle Plans And Travel Adventures For 2018

Emma Victoria Stokes Plans Goals 2018

Considering it’s March already, I thought it was a wise idea to write down some goals I want to achieve this year and to tell you more about the travel plans and life goals I want to set in motion. In the past, I’ve written some blog posts on bucket list destinations and things I want to achieve in the coming year. I always feel so much better after pulling them from my brain and writing them down. Even if they’re a little bit far-fetched I’ve been told that if you have a list to refer to, you’re more likely to achieve them. Or something like that.

For my birthday last year, Josh surprised me with some plane tickets to Lisbon for next month. It’s been a long time coming, but we’re finally off to Lisbon, Portugal on April 20. I’ve read quite a few articles on the best places to stay, where we should eat, and the sights we should see. Each year, we like to travel somewhere new, stretch our legs, and see some brand new sights. If you saw my posts from last year, you’d know full well just how much we loved visiting Italy, including Rome, Sorrento, and the Amalfi Coast. We’re heading back to Tuscany in a few months time for a friend’s wedding and we can’t wait. I’m sure if we weren’t tied to Birmingham already, we’d be living in Italy no doubt. Let the new adventures begin.

I’ve been a home owner for nearly two years now and since buying our gorgeous little terrace house in Stirchley, Birmingham (just a stone throw away from Cadbury world) it still doesn’t feel real to be in the adult world with a mortgage, responsibilities and bills to pay. But this year we want to do lots more renovating to our place. It seems like such a hard goal to achieve because EVERYTHING costs an arm and a leg. Want to paint the walls? That’s £30 please. Want new radiators? That’s £500 please. Want to keep warm? THAT’S £1000 PLEASE. In the next couple of months, we’re going to be putting in new shelves, revamping our lounge area and maybe even getting some pretty new kitchen bits. It seems like a pipe dream but a girl can hope.

I’ve been to Paris once. It was a year 8 trip with school and we explored the sights in large groups. I’ve waited for an opportunity to go back ever since. I’m excited to share with you the news that a wonderful company I collaborated with on one of my all-time favourite travel posts ‘How To Visit The Vatican Without Crowds‘ will now be launching it’s new venture ‘The Paris Guy’ this Spring.

Since having the opportunity to witness ‘The Roman Guy’ tour company first hand in Italy, I can certainly account for its unique and creative way to experience the local attractions. The Paris Guy enables people to skip the long, boring queues so you’re not wasting any time during your trip. What’s more, you can visit attractions with small groups of around 12 (with a very knowledgeable tour guide) before they’re even open to the public. Last year we visited the Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica the public were allowed in and we were out by 11AM. One of the best highlights of my travels… ever! This time around, the Paris Guy will be hosting several tours to the Louvre, Versailles and Catabombs ranging between 69 – 74 euros each. Length of the tours can last between 1.5 – 3 hours so it won’t take up the whole day either. If you watch a top notch, worthwhile tour in Paris, these guys really are the best. So, Josh… when are we booking our flights?

Emma Victoria Stokes Digital Business Launching My Digital Business

It’s something that I’ve been working towards for a while and I’m proud to say that I’m going to be launching a brand new website for my new digital business! An ambition of mine is to create a website dedicated towards the digital services I provide, ranging from: Social Media Management, Content Creation, Virtual Assistant Support and Content Creation. I’ve been doing some bits of Virtual Assistant (VA) work for my pal and blogger friend, Jenna Farmer, who runs various websites from A Balanced Belly Blog, through to The Bloglancer and she’s been amazing to work with. If your business or company is looking for some digital marketing help – be sure to get in touch with me at [email protected] for the mean time!
