Three Church Road Edgbaston, Birmingham – Restaurant Review

I wasn’t expecting to head to a retirement village for my latest restaurant review. But oh, what a surprise it was when we walked in through the front door. Three Church Road opened last year in the beautiful Georgian building of Audley St George’s Place in Edgbaston and prides itself on beautifully presented menus and high quality service. Although the restaurant sits within the retirement village, non-residents are more than welcome to visit for dinner, afternoon tea or special events. Straight away I’d say this is somewhere I’d love to visit again in future. I was gutted that I couldn’t make the first launch last year, but thankfully their wonderful team got…

When In Rome: A Trip To Italy

This blog post has been a long time coming. Mainly because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to blog about my trip to Rome back in May as I just wanted to relax and not have to worry about taking images for my blog at every turn. However we ended up having the BEST time while doing a mini tour around Italy so I wanted to share some photos with you. At first, we were just planning on going to Rome but then planned an excursion to the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento too so I’ll share those with you soon. I’ll go as far to say it’s been one of…

The Genting Hotel – Robata Grill & Santai Spa Review

Imagine this. You’re booked into the Genting Hotel – Resorts World and the PR lady sends you over an itinerary which details your experience from start to finish.  Dinner at Robata on Friday night, a luxury night’s sleep inside a superior room with plush lighting, fluffy robes, a goody bag… the works! The next day consists of a hearty breakfast and a spa day with complimentary treatments at Santai Spa. It sounds like a dream doesn’t it? As far as hotel stays go – I was completely in awe of the hotel, our dining experience at Robata and the spa day which has been highly recommended to me by friends on many…

The Almanack: Restaurant Review in Kenilworth

I hadn’t long woken up from my slumber at Luxury Hotel, Netherstowe House the other week when I was whisked away to review the new Almanack Restaurant in Kenilworth – sister pub to the Highfield in Edgbaston. Whenever I’m invited to review a restaurant, the first thing I do is look at the menu. What food do they serve? How expensive is it? Are the prices right for what they’re offering? From the invitation, I was promised to try some ‘fantastic food and drinks’ from their brand new summer menu, at a top notch lunch spot. Although Kenilworth is a bit out of my way for a Birmingham food blogger, Josh and…

    Goals for 2016

Happy first post of 2016! I decided to take a little break from the blogging world over Christmas and it feels both exciting and refreshing to be back. I’ve jumped into the year with a clean slate and I’m bursting with positivity since my blog has offically been entered into the Blog Awards UK! (Don’t forget, you can vote once a day until end of January). I know a lot of people dread the concept of ‘New Year, New You’ and I get it, not everyone makes resolutions. The idea of transforming into a different person at the strike of 12 also strikes people’s hearts with fear – ‘Can I really cut out pizza in…
