.) At the end of November, one of the largest international fashion retailers Boohoo.com got in touch to ask if I would like to collaborate with them on a Black Friday blog post. I have bought stuff from their site many times before and always find the clothes to be of great, yet affordable quality. I posed for a few pictures in my local park and it was absolutely freezing. It was such a great shoot though and I’m so excited to have more collabs coming up – somehow I feel that 2016 will be big for my blog.
.) It’s been a bumpy couple of weeks but I’ve finally got a new job! It’s taken ages to get here but I’m beyond happy that I will be going into the New Year with a permanent Marketing & Communications role. I’m already on a secondment with the team (I already work for them a couple days a week) so I’m absorbing bucket loads of knowledge every time I’m here. I write press releases, liaise with journalists and get involved in the news aspect of journalism again. One of my news releases has already been picked up by the BBC!
.) Speaking of collaborations, I’m extremely lucky in what I do as recently I have a lot of companies get in touch to work with me. I live right opposite an Aldi supermarket and when they sent me £30 in vouchers to do a ‘Christmas on a budget’ recipe shop, I was over the moon. My boyfriend and I cooked a huge turkey dinner and I made starters and an Amaretto cheesecake from scratch. I love having time to cook new recipes so keep your eyes peeled for this blog post just after Christmas to find out what we did!
.) I recently found out about the ‘Amazingly Choctastic Christmas Gift Finder‘ from Thorntons chocolates. The Christmas Gift Finder is a simple solution to finding the perfect Christmas choccie present for your loved ones! It’s easy to use both on your mobile and laptop and all you have to do is answer some simple questions about the recipient you’re thinking of buying for…and they’ll do the rest!
.) Imagine my face when I saw that Soap and Glory had been in touch. I think my jaw hit the floor, I absolutely LOVE Soap and Glory products, especially the Sugar Crush Body Scrub as it smells just like Starburst sweeties. The samples are perfect size to throw into my handbag, (body spritz, pukka up lipgloss) so they will definitely be thrown into my work bag after the New Year. Which is your favourite Soap and Glory product?
.) The other week, I came home from work and snuggled into my bear onesie. I know… I’m a 5 year old. But it was a freezing cold night and I just had to do it. I took a picture of myself by my Christmas tree all snuggled up and because of that, I won a gift on Instagram – a gift that I’ve already bought Josh for Christmas. JUST MY LUCK! I’m feeling beyond lucky at the moment and hoping this feeling lasts. Christmas is just two days away and I didn’t think I was prepared for it. But now I’m ready for a New Year with more happiness and loads of champagne…
You had an amazing year with all the fantastic collabs and moving into your home! Also congrats on your new job. Happy New Year lovely, here’s to 2016!
